As a residential homeowner…am I eligible for the discount propane program?
Yes. The JPACC/ToV offers two different types of memberships. A Business Membership as well as an Associate Membership(residential/homeowners would want to enroll in this membership).
What is included in my Associate Membership?
With an Associate Membership you will be eligible for one location (1 delivery address) for propane discounts as well as the discounts offered by area businesses. This program is called Member to Member (M2M) program.
How do I join?
Members can join online with a PayPal account and receive the discounts immediately. You can also join by printing our application online or we can email or mail the application to you. Whichever is easiest.
What does it cost to become a member?
An Associate Membership costs &70.00/year The all inclusive Business Membership costs $180.00/year.
Is there a deadline to join?
No, we do not have a deadline to join. You can join anytime of the year but to get the most out of your membership- please remember our fiscal year runs for May 1-April 30th every year.The price is not prorated depending on the date of which you join.
How will I know it’s time to renew?
The JPACC/ToV send renewal notices at the beginning of April each year to the current membership. Expect to see the mailing mid April or join online May 1- to continue to receive this great pricing discounts.
What propane suppliers currently offer the discount?
The chamber has a written, signed contract with Amerigas. Policies, procedures and pricing are negotiated with them each May to determine how to better serve the membership and retain this strong partnership.
How will Amerigas know I joined the chamber?
The chamber updates a contact with Amerigas at least once a week, sometimes more-depending on season.The membership is shared via a database with all pertinent information regarding your discount; name, delivery address, phone number and date of which membership was activated. Amerigas then updates the account and you begin to receive the discounts from the date your membership is received.If ever you have questions regarding your discounted rate, you can email [email protected].
Will billing for propane billing go through the chamber?
No, all propane invoices will be billed through Amerigas and paid to Amerigas.
How do I contact Amerigas to get set up?
The best way to get set up with Amerigas is to contact them directly to schedule an install or delivery. They can be reached by calling (802)334-5244 ext. 70016 or 1-866-771-2010. If you speak to an Amerigas Representative out of state, they may not be aware of our program and cannot assist your pricing questions. It is important to speak to a Vermont Representative.
Can you explain to me how the discount works?
The Tiers are as follows;
0-299 $1.35 + laid in rate(the chamber receives this rate weekly)
300-599 $1.15 + laid in rate(the chamber receives this rate weekly)
600-999 $.95 + laid in rate(the chamber receives this rate weekly)
1000+ $.75 + laid in rate(the chamber receives this rate weekly)
If I have multiple residences- can I receive the discount at each location?
Each separate address location will need to pay for a JPACC/ToV membership (excluded from this is house and garage in the same driveway but separate tanks).
Are there any other terms?
Amerigas discounts are offered to members who are current with the chamber and if your Amerigas account is in good standing. Amerigas terms are 30 days from invoice, if there is a past due balance you will be removed from discounted pricing.
IMPORTANT REMINDER- The name on the Amerigas account needs to match name on JPACC/ToV membership , if membership is set up under the business name it must have the name that Amerigas has in their system on the account.
