Our circa 1851 farmhouse is situated approximately 25 miles from 2 great ski/all season resorts Jay Peak, Burke Mountain, Craftsbury Outdoor Center in the NEK. We are just off the Irasburg common complete with local market, library and church. Beautiful views from the back deck of field, apple trees and mountain. Direct access to VAST snowmobile trail. Proximity to historic Brownington – Old Stone House Museum complex, Montreal approx 2.5hrs, Magog, QC 45 min away make great day trips!
The space

Guests love the rambling space in the house from the main farmhouse to the barn connected by a mud room. There is a wood stove in the kitchen entryway as well as in the barn. The upstairs in the house has a common living room as well. Great for kids to play games and watch movies. Upstairs in the loft is double bed and an air mattress for sleeping- this is Bedroom #6. Lots of board games, and a record player. It’s a great space for kids to camp out together by setting up even more air mattresses. Adults can enjoy the bar downstairs in barn! Barn has a TV and stove for cuddling on the couches! There is also a campfire ring, 2 hammocks, 2 outdoor decks with 2 grills. Great for stargazing, watching the fireflies, toasting s’mores and kids could pitch a tent and camp out! Tent in the eves upstairs behind bookcase!

Other things to note
Bedroom 3 has 2 single beds and a pack n play intended for kids but 2 adults could sleep here as long as you are ok being in a middle room between two others. They are what some refer to as railroad style rooms. You would have to pass through another room to exit/enter. Also, if you light the wood stove please be mindful of the fire and never leave unattended. Never leave the house with the screen on fire close the main stove doors. In addition, if you light a campfire please extinguish completely before leaving or going to bed for the night.
